I've just noticed that when I set a topic to unapproved mode (make it invisible) that it messes up the entire structure of the FURL system. The more posts or threads that a person makes as unapproved, the worse the problem becomes.
I'm just in a testing phase before opening up my new community and recently (a few minutes ago) found this bug. Try it here, and see if your can reproduce the issue. Ensure that you go back and reset it, otherwise the forums will continue being messed up.
