My vote goes for the pingback / trackback feature.
It could become very useful and has proven itself more than once using another forum system. Social Networking if abused could lead to your site being banned from some sites, such as digg. This has happened a time or two, but as always it requires a responsible Administrator in order for it not to be abused. -------------------- |

I would say go for Similar Topics. I believe Social Networking links are worse for SEO not much of a bonus. May help traffic but not SEO, just adds more outbound links.
