Seo Help!

Hey guys I'm coding my own forum software before you pre-judge since I'm asking at a invision site, I'm still going to use invision board (I host big invision boards ) my software isn't expected to be released for over 4months anyways.

I have a communityseo license I got for beta testing it but the admin isnt too nice, hes more money money money instead of help the general population, this forum is about seo script so I'm assuming you guys would be more than happy to help as I will in no way be a competitor.

So I'm trying to build the urls system as our script will use native seo urls, on invision board the html output has to be rewritten which requires MUCH higher load on php-fastcgi enabled webservers, to fix this issue were going into the core of our software and rewriting it to use fancy urls.

On lighttpd this can be rewritten with a simple LUA metalanguage bit of code, apache it'll require 4 rewrite rules. Very light weight eh?

domain/user=Name

What would be best for things like user profile/topics/etc?

I was thinking

/topic/sometopictitle

or would /topic=Sometopictitle be better?

first thing, google gives importance to folder link furl, but it will give more importance if it is folder/file.html type of furl.
